Mary Wheat has been honored with the 2021 Massachusetts AARP Andrus Award for community service to the South Community Food Pantry.

The 2021 Thanksgiving Angels, which distributed meals to more than 1,500 families, was featured in a number of news outlets!

The Food Pantry at South Congregational Church is now South Community Food Pantry. Along with the new name for the organization, there is a new website full of information about the Food Pantry, St. Joseph’s Kitchen, Thanksgiving Angels, and other community resources.

Sign-up for this year’s Thanksgiving Angels begins in mid-October!

In the summer of 2019, South Congregational Church installed 100 solar panels on the church roof that offset approximately 85% of electricity used by the church!
